PhotoNight LII will feature Gary W. Green of the Orlando Sentinel and will be held Tuesday, 9/29, from 7:30-9:00 p.m. in room 33 Carroll Hall. Doors open at 7:00p.m.
Gary W. Green has been a senior photographer and lead sports photographer for the Orlando Sentinel since 2002. Before joining the Sentinel Green worked at the Akron (Ohio) Beacon Journal and Tribune Chronicle in Warren, OH. He is a 1994 graduate of Ohio University’s School of Visual Communication.
Over the past 15 years, Green has coordinated and covered multiple Super Bowls, NCAA tournaments and Final Fours, NBA playoffs and Finals, World Series, BCS Championships, PGA and LPGA golf tournaments, Daytona 500 and NASCAR races, as well as the Kentucky Derby. Assignments have taken him to the baseball fields of the Dominican Republic, the slums of Tijuana, Mexico, the summit of Mauna Kea on the Big Island of Hawaii, Canada and all over the United States. In addition to sports he has covered space shuttle launches, presidential campaigns, hurricanes, New York City following 9/11, and documentary stories throughout Central Florida.
